i'm not sure i'm getting what you're driving at. i'm guessing that you like the production values of western porn but don't like the unreal aspects.

i think the best videos are, or at least give the impression of, spontaneity. weak videos clearly look staged and directed.

but porn also exists as fantasy. let's face it, most of what we see in the videos couldn't possibly happen in real life, and if it did, it would be a really bizarre lifestyle. i like all girl orgies, but i'm not so dumb as to think real women do such things, hence the fantasy.

since everyday lifestyles in western countries tend towards being gritty and imperfect, the western fantasy of porn is for everything to be perfect. everything is clean, the girls all have clear skin, the environments are lavish, etc.

i have a theory, i may be wrong and i expect to be corrected, but i suspect that since japanese lifestyles are supposed to be so orderly, the fantasies tend towards the chaotic, messy, bizarre, and imperfect. anything that suggests what is supposed to be perfect is somehow wrong is the desired fantasy. of course my perspective may be wrong since i'm only exposed to the outliers of asian (or japanese) porn. it's possible that western companies are only interested in distributing the weird, bizarre, and fetishistic asian porn because the more normal stuff is just not interesting enough to spend money to license and translate.
